Busch Gardens
Williamsburg, VA: This is a great family getaway. In fact, when you visit Virginia, you can center your whole trip around this amazing location. At Busch Gardens, you can enjoy many rides and other attractions, such as the new ride for thrill-seekers, the Griffon. This ride takes you up 205 feet and then drops you straight down traveling 70 miles per hour. For those looking for tamer attractions, you can check out one of the ten main stage shows, sample a wide variety of foods, shop and visit the award-winning children’s area featuring the Riffle Rapids, and the kiddie bumper cars. You will feel like you have traveled the globe in this theme park. Adult admission is $56.95 and children are $49.95. You can also purchase season passes and multi-day tickets.
Mill Mountain Theatre
Roanoke, VA: If your family enjoys the stage, then a stop at the Mill Mountain Theatre is a must. This is a professional theater that offers performances throughout the year. Mill Mountain Zoo
McLean, VA: Families will delight in this wonderful zoo located in Roanoke. See a wide assortment of mammals, birds and reptiles on your visit and stop in one of the scenic areas for a nice picnic with the family. Splashdown Water Park
